'Savi' and 'Jigra' have their own unique journeys: Khosla Kumar
Addressing the plot similarities, Khosla Kumar told IANS, "Yes, I too have been getting this question a lot from the media, the industry, and the trade that 'Savi' and 'Jigra' are seeming very similar, the plot and everything." She added, "I would just like to say that with the love of the audience and the grace of God that 'Savi' has proved its worth totally on its own merits."
Khosla Kumar grateful for exploring the genre first
Khosla Kumar expressed her gratitude for having the opportunity to explore the jailbreak genre first. She refrained from commenting further on the matter. Savi, directed by Abhinay Deo and produced by Mukesh Bhatt, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar under T-Series and Vishesh Films banners, was released on May 31.
'Savi' had a good run in theaters and OTT
Khosla Kumar mentioned that Savi had a successful run in theaters and on OTT platforms, topping charts in various countries. She said, "I'm just thankful for all the love. And yes, our film was based on jailbreak- how a simple housewife attempts a jailbreak to get her husband out of the prison." She further added that even though Jigra may be similar, every film has its own journey.
