Irrfan's wife Sutapa Sikdar pens emotional note on his comeback
Last year when Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, he went missing from limelight almost immediately. And now, after intense medical treatment, Irrfan, recently, made a comeback with Homi Adajania's Angrezi Medium. While his fans are extremely elated to have him back in action, Irrfan's wife Sutapa Sikdar penned an emotional note about the actor's battle with the dangerous disease.
Sutapa calls it 'longest year of our life,' thanks fans
Calling it the 'longest year', Sutapa, in her Facebook post, expressed gratitude towards Irrfan's fans. "Time was never measured with pain and hope at same time ever. While we take our babysteps back to work, to life I am submerged in prayers, wishes and faith from friends, and a connection with universe which gives us a small chance for this new start," she wrote.
I know what you mean to us, says Sutapa
Furthermore, Sutapa stated she is grateful to every person who prayed for Irrfan and his family. "Never ever I could feel peoples wishes on my bones my breath my heartbeat which helped me to stay focused and kicking. Sorry for not being able to answer individually but I know what you mean to us. Thank you for believing in your prayers," she mentioned.

Earlier, Irrfan also wrote on Twitter about the healing process and how thankful he was for the unconditional love that he received from his fans. "In our vulnerability, we're reminded. As I leave my footprints onto these steps of my life, I want to pause to be grateful for receiving your immense love and support, it soothed me in healing," he wrote.
Irrfan back to the sets, begins shooting for 'Angrezi Medium'
Irrfan is back to what he does best: Acting. Recently, he began shooting for Angrezi Medium, which is the sequel to Hindi Medium. Apart from Irrfan, the movie will also star Radhika Madan and Kareena Kapoor in key roles. The team is currently filming in Rajasthan, which will go till the end of this month, and then they will move to London in June.
