Now, Irrfan Khan's 'Hindi Medium' goes to China
China is gradually becoming a lucrative market for Bollywood films, courtesy Aamir Khan. After the stupendous success of '3 Idiots', 'PK', 'Dangal', 'Secret Superstar' and 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', Irrfan Khan starrer 'Hindi Medium' will also be released in the neighboring country. The development has director Saket Chaudhary all pumped up. Here's all about it.
Chaudhary is thankful to Aamir
Talking about the business of Hindi films in China, Chaudhary said, "I think all of us owe Aamir for showing an initiative and vision in taking Hindi cinema to a new and large audience. Without 'Dangal', the Chinese audience may not have been familiar with the new emerging Hindi cinema." "We would like 'Hindi Medium' to do well and continue the trend," he added.
'Hindi Medium' was a game-changer of sorts
'Hindi Medium' was hugely lapped up by the audience in India. The film turned out to be a massive box office success as it raked in over Rs. 60 crore, courtesy its content. The film that also features Saba Qamar is a satirical take on the increasing importance of English language in the society. It will be hitting the Chinese screens on April 4.
