'India's Got Latent' is unscripted, claims Apoorva in police statement

The controversy over the YouTube show India's Got Latent has taken a new turn with influencer Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid) denying the show was scripted.
In her statement to Khar Police Station in Mumbai on Wednesday, she claimed their appearance on the show was unpaid and all reactions were spontaneous.
She further revealed the theme of the show is to "talk freely" without language barriers.

Mukhija appeared as a guest panelist on IGL with Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and host Samay Raina.
On the episode, she made a vulgar remark while talking to a contestant. She asked, "Have you ever seen a vagina?" Netizens were outraged at the influencer's inappropriate language.
The Maharashtra Cyber Department has filed an FIR against the panel for allegedly creating and broadcasting obscene content on India's Got Latent.

The cyber department is also issuing summonses to about 30 guests who have participated in the show since its inception.
The National Commission for Women (NCW) has also strongly condemned the derogatory comment and summoned them on February 17.
Additionally, in Parliament, Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske demanded a law to regulate social media platforms where influencers are posting "all kinds of nonsense" in the name of freedom of speech.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Police's cyber cell is currently reviewing all episodes of the roast show to identify instances where comedians made objectionable remarks.
Sources indicate that jury members who have used inappropriate language in any episode could also face action.
Several celebrities, including actor Rakhi Sawant, comedian Bharti Singh, influencer Uorfi Javed, and former Roadies judge Raghu Ram, have appeared as guests in a total of 12 episodes.
Additionally, participants who made controversial comments are under scrutiny.
