No help from bollywood during Sadhana's last days
Late actress Sadhana's old friend and former actor Tabassum, told the media how Sadhana spent her last few days unhappy and frustrated with little or no help coming from the industry. Tabassum said, "She (Sadhana) was very ill and very sad. None from the industry bothered to help her." Sadhana's funeral was attended by yesteryear film personalities including Asha Parekh, Helen, Deepti Naval, etc.
Early life of Sadhana
Sadhana Shivdasani popularly known as Sadhana, was an Indian actress who was one of the top stars in the 1960s and the early-1970s. Born in 1941 in a Sindhi family, Sadhana originally hailed from Karachi in Pakistan and made her debut in showbiz with 1958 Sindhi movie Abana. Sadhana made her Bollywood debut as an actress with the movie Love in Paris in 1960.
Sadhana's movies and Filmfare nominations
Sadhana went on to work for acclaimed director Bimal Roy for Parakh in 1961. She also co-starred with Dev Anand in movies like Asli-Naqli and Hum Dono. She received her first Filmfare nomination as best actress with her performance in the first part of filmmaker Raj Khosla's thriller trilogy Woh Kaun Thi? Yash Chopra's 1965 blockbuster movie Waqt earned her another Filmfare nomination.

After her hits with movies like Woh Kaun Thi, Naina Barse and Lag Ja Gale, Sadhana was cast in more successful mystery films, Mera Saaya and Anita thus making her famous as the "Mystery girl"
Sadhana, the style icon
Apart from her contribution to Hindi films, Sadhana also became a style icon with her hairstyle, a fringe on the forehead. Her trademark look, inspired from British actress Audrey Hepburn, gained popularity and came to be called "Sadhana cut." She also introduced the concept of fitted salwar kameez, instead of the traditional loose cut, with her movie Waqt. This style too was well accepted.
Extended member of Kapoor family
Sadhana's father and actor Hari Shivdasani were brothers and Hari's daughter is actress Babita. This makes Sadhana, Karishma and Kareena Kapoor's aunt.
Actress Sadhana passes away at 74
Veteran actress Sadhana Shivdasani passed away in Mumbai on December 25. She was detected with a tumor and had been battling cancer for a very long time. The actress who completed 74 years of age this September, was reportedly admitted to the Hinduja hospital. Fans and admirers of the actress have taken to social media to express their remorse.
