Aditi Rao-Avinash Tiwary lead Imtiaz Ali, Netflix's 'O Saathi Re'
What's the story
Ace filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and streaming giant Netflix are joining hands once again for a new project titled O Saathi Re.
This project comes after their successful collaboration on Diljit Dosanjh-led Amar Singh Chamkila.
The upcoming series, produced by Window Seat Films and Reliance Entertainment, will feature Aditi Rao Hydari, Avinash Tiwary, and Arjun Rampal. The production is expected to begin by the end of February 2025.
Production roles
Ali's multifaceted role and team details in 'O Saathi Re'
Ali, who has helmed films like Tamasha, Rockstar, Jab We Met, and Love Aaj Kal, will don many hats for O Saathi Re. He will be the creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the series.
Mohit Choudhary and Pratik Nandkumar More (Shoot at Site) will be the executive producers alongside him.
His brother Arif Ali will direct the series while Nidhi Sethia will be a creative producer.

Cast comeback
'O Saathi Re' marks Netflix's return for star cast
The upcoming series marks a return to Netflix for its star-studded cast. While Rao Hydari is making her comeback after working in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's debut web series Heeramandi, Laila Majnu fame Tiwary follows his performance in Sikandar Ka Muqaddar.
Meanwhile, Rampal returns to the platform after Rana Naidu Season 2.
The series promises to be an intriguing exploration of "the vintage feeling of love in contemporary times."

Ali and Netflix India's series head shared their excitement
Ali said he was excited about the project, calling O Saathi Re "a modern story with a vintage heart, an enchanted fairy tale set in the fiasco of metropolitan life."
He also praised his brother Arif's direction and the cast.
