IIFA 2024: Karan Johar joins Shah Rukh Khan as co-host
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and renowned filmmaker Karan Johar have been announced as the hosts for the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) 2024. The star-studded ceremony will take place on September 28, on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. This year's event will reportedly feature electrifying performances from top Bollywood celebrities, including Shahid Kapoor.
IIFA 2024: A three-day celebration of Indian cinema
The IIFA 2024 is scheduled to be a three-day extravaganza, running from September 27 to September 29, as announced on Friday. The inaugural day will feature IIFA Utsavam, a celebration of the four South Indian film industries. The second day is reserved for the main IIFA Awards ceremony. The final day will be dedicated to IIFA Rocks, an event celebrating the music industry.

The hosts expressed their enthusiasm about IIFA. He said, "I look forward to bringing the energy, passion, and grandeur of IIFA to life once again, as we gear up for an unforgettable celebration of Indian cinema this September." Johar, meanwhile, said, "It's an absolute honour to reignite the magic on the iconic IIFA stage for an unprecedented third showcase this September 27th-29th, alongside my dear friend Shah Rukh Khan."
