The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) is all set to dazzle Abu Dhabi on Saturday (September 28). The star-studded event, hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, promises to bring together the biggest names in Bollywood. Before the winners of this prestigious ceremony are revealed, let's take a look at the top nominations across various categories, including Best Film, Actors, and Directors.
Best Picture nominations for IIFA 2024
Leading the pack is Ranbir Kapoor's Animal with a whopping 11 nods, followed closely by Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt with 10. Meanwhile, Vikrant Massey's film 12th Fail has garnered five nods. Along with 12th Fail, Animal, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the Best Picture category includes nominations for Jawan, Satyaprem Ki Katha, and Sam Bahadur.
Leading role nominations feature Bollywood's finest
The nominations for Performance in a Leading Role (Female) include Rani Mukerji for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, Bhatt for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Deepika Padukone for Pathaan, Kiara Advani for Satyaprem Ki Katha, and Taapsee Pannu for Dunki. The male counterparts in this category are Massey (12th Fail), Kapoor (Animal), Singh (Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani), Khan (Jawan), Vicky Kaushal (Sam Bahadur), and Sunny Deol (Gadar 2).
Triptii Dimri, Jaya Bachchan, Anil Kapoor: Nominations in supporting roles
In the Supporting Role (Female) category, Triptii Dimri (Animal), Geeta Aggarwal Sharma (12th Fail), Sanya Malhotra (Sam Bahadur), Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi (both for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani) have been nominated. For the male equivalent, Dharmendra and Tota Roy Chowdhury from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Gajraj Rao from Satyaprem Ki Katha, Anil Kapoor from Animal, and Jaideep Ahlawat from An Action Hero made it to the list.

Further, the Performance in a Negative Role category features Bobby Deol (Animal), John Abraham (Pathaan), Vijay Sethupathi (Jawan), Emraan Hashmi(Tiger 3), and Yami Gautam(OMG 2). On the other hand, in the Direction category, Vidhu Vinod Chopra (12th Fail), Sandeep Reddy Vanga (Animal), Johar (Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani), Atlee (Jawan), Siddharth Anand (Pathaan), and Amit Rai (OMG 2) have been nominated.
Music direction and playback singer nominations revealed
In the Music Direction category, the nominees are Pritam, Vishal Mishra, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Jaani, Bhupinder Babbal, Ashim Kemson and Harshavardhan Rameshwar for Animal; Pritam for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani; Vishal-Shekhar for Pathaan; Anirudh Ravichander for Jawan; Sachin-Jigar for Zara Hatke Zara Bachke; and Shantanu Moitra for 12th Fail. For Playback Singer (Male), Arijit Singh has been nominated twice. Other nominees include Bhupinder Babbal and Vishal Mishra (both from Animal) and Diljit Dosanjh (Dunki).
