Nawazuddin Siddiqui dedicates his IIFA award to 'Mom' co-star Sridevi
In a heartfelt gesture, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has dedicated his win at IIFA 2018 to late Bollywood legend Sridevi. Nawaz was named Best Supporting Actor - Male for his stirring performance in 'Mom', in which he starred alongside Sridevi. He said that it was once in a lifetime opportunity to share screen space with the first female superstar of Bollywood.

'Mom' garnered critical acclaim and commercial success in equal measures
Upon its release in 2017, 'Mom' impressed the critics and the audience alike. It started slowly at the box office but picked up the pace in subsequent days pertaining to the extremely positive word of mouth. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film raked in close to Rs. 40 crore in its lifetime.
Sridevi was posthumously awarded Best Actor - Female
Sridevi was also bestowed with the Best Actor In A Leading Role - Female trophy for 'Mom' at the recently concluded awards ceremony. Her producer husband Boney Kapoor accepted the award on her behalf. Earlier this year, she also bagged the prestigious National Award for her last full-fledged feature film.
Fans are awaiting the telecast of IIFA 2018
An array of Bollywood stars flew to Bangkok to attend this year's IIFA. Anil Kapoor, Rekha, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan were amongst them. The awards ceremony will be telecast next month.
