Born on June 24, 1961, Scottish actor Iain Alan Sutherland Glen is a Scottish actor best known for his performance in the ‘Resident Evil’ film series (2004-2016) and the ‘Game of Thrones’ television series (2011-2019). An alumnus of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, Glen began his acting career with the 1986 TV show ‘Taggart.’ As of 2021, he has appeared in over 20 TV shows. Some of his critically-lauded and commercially successful TV shows include ‘Adam Bede’ (1991), ‘Death of a Salesman’ (1996), ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’ (2009), ‘Downton Abbey’ (2011), ‘Law & Order: UK’ (2009), and ‘Titans’ (2018). He made his film debut in 1988 with the movie ‘Paris by Night.’ As of 2021, he has appeared in more than 30 films. Some of his commercially successful and critically lauded movies include ‘Mountains of the Moon’ (1990), ‘Silent Scream’ (1990), ‘The Young Americans’ (1993), ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’ (2001), ‘Song of a Raggy Boy’ (2003), ‘The Last Legion’ (2007), and ‘Eye in the Sky’ (2015). He married English actress Susannah Harker in 1993, but the couple divorced in 2004. He married Charlotte Emmerson in 2017. He is the recipient of one Silver Bear Award, one Evening Standard British Film Award, one Ian Charleson Award and one Screen Actors Guild Award.
