Salman Khan wants to become a dad, but conditions apply
Almost a fortnight ago, news reports suggested that superstar Salman Khan is preparing to embrace fatherhood through surrogacy. In no time, the news became viral, and his fans were relieved and delighted. While no confirmation has been received on that front, Salman, in a recent interview said that he wants kids, but not the mother that comes with them. Here is more.
I want children, but don't want the mother, Salman says
Salman, who is currently promoting his next film, Bharat, was asked about marriage and parenthood in the interview, as always. About having kids, he said, "I want children, but with children comes the mother. I don't want the mother, but they need one. But I have a whole village to take care of them. Maybe I can work out a win-win situation for everyone."
Not for some time, remains Salman's favorite reply on marriage
Everybody knows Salman loves children. His numerous videos and photos with his nieces and nephews stand testimony to that. His phobia of marriage is also a truth, which the 53-year-old has repeatedly emphasized. Whenever asked about marriage, he always says, "Not for some time."
Salman is amused his wedding concerns people more than elections
In this interview, Salman joked, "I think I should announce it (marriage plans) on May 23 (the day election results get declared)." His reply indicates that he is amused to see how people are more concerned about his wedding than the new government formation. Earlier in all his replies, he has clearly stated that he would marry only to have kids.
'Wanted to marry to make babies, but already have them'
Way back in 2011, the Wanted actor had said, "Why should I marry? One marries to have children, but my nieces and nephews are my children. I wanted to marry to make babies, but now I have them, so marriage isn't that important, is it?"
He once wished to have three or four kids
In 2017, Salman had said, "The only reasons I'd want to have a child right now or in the near future, say in 2-3 years, is because I'd want mom and dad to see my child." A year earlier, he highlighted, "I want to have three or four kids. Now I know without marriage kids are difficult to get but I will manage it."
Salman has had his share of girlfriends, but remains unmarried
Now, questions surrounding Salman's wedding refuse to subside simply because of one thing: He has had his share of girlfriends, but never popped the question to any. He has dated the likes of Sangeeta Bijlani, Somy Ali, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Katrina Kaif. Even rumors surrounding Romanian playback singer Iulia Vantur gave his fans some hope, but eventually that too died down.
Salman currently readying up for 'Bharat' release, 'Dabangg 3' shooting
Whether Salman's marriage happens or not is something time will tell. For now, he has his plate full as far as films are concerned. His next film, Bharat, is up for release this Eid. Co-starring Katrina, Tabu, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, it has been inspired by Korean blockbuster, An Ode To My Father. Salman's next two films are Dabangg 3, and Inshallah.
