This is why Sonam didn't reveal her relationship with Anand
Sonam Kapoor has always remained tight-lipped about her personal life. She never accepted her relationship with Anand Ahuja in public, even though reports regarding the same were all over the place for the last two years. Present at a promotional event for 'Veere Di Wedding', Sonam revealed why she has refrained from bringing her personal life to the fore.
Here's what the soon-to-be bride said
"I am very protective about my personal life. I'm an extremely private person and I do feel somewhere that it takes away attention from your work," said Sonam.
Sonam will tie the knot with Anand on May 8
Sonam and Anand's wedding was confirmed by their families after months of speculations. They released a joint statement to make it official which read, "The Kapoor and Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam and Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai." It will be a traditional but an intimate affair.
Meanwhile, 'Veere Di Wedding' will hit the screens next month
'Veere Di Wedding' will be Sonam's first release post marriage. Also featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, the film has been directed by Shashanka Ghosh of 'Khoobsurat' fame. Jointly bankrolled by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms Ltd and Anil Kapoor Film And Communication Network, 'Veere Di Wedding' will hit the screens on June 1.
