'Hungama' actor Rimi Sen got Rs. 2.25cr for 'Bigg Boss'!
Actress Rimi Sen, who has been missing from the big screen since long, recently shared details about her Bigg Boss stint. Without showing any restraint, the Hungama star admitted that she participated in it for money, and it paid off. For 49 days, she was paid a whopping Rs. 2.2 crore! "Nobody can earn this much money in such a short time," she said.
'Nobody can earn this much in such a short time'
"See we do few things for fame and some for money. So I did Bigg Boss only for money. They paid me around Rs. 2.25 crore for 49 days and nobody can earn this much money in such a short time," the 39-year-old pointed out.
Sen had been infamous for not showing interest during stint
To recall, Sen was often chided by host Salman Khan for not showing enough interest. She had entered the house in Season 9, and had repeatedly expressed her desire to quit. But now after five years, Sen revealed that she doesn't regret participating in the show, as she learned a lot, while also finding "the concept very interesting," when she was offered the show.
'Bigg Boss' is about getting your hidden personality out: Sen
In the interview, the Dhoom actress added that many fail "to understand the actual concept" of BB. It isn't about "fighting" or "giving content," but it's about bringing out one's hidden personality, Sen highlights. "They purposely create tasks in a way that your worst side comes out in public and that is something you have to have a hold on yourself," she added.
She ended up getting paid more than the winner
Interestingly, the prize money isn't the same for all, and it definitely doesn't mean that the winner walks away with the most delicious paycheck. Consider this: Sen, who got paid in crores, earned much more than that season's winner, Prince Narula, who settled for Rs. 50L. Also, in season 11, Shilpa Shinde won, but Hacked star Hina Khan was reportedly the highest-paid contestant.
Rubina Dilaik earned Rs. 36L as prize money this season
The latest season of the reality TV show concluded last month with actress Rubina Dilaik emerging as the winner. Alongside the trophy and Rs. 36L cash prize, she had the highest weekly appearance fee of Rs. 5L as well. Meanwhile, Sen, who had forayed into producing in recent times, wants to return to acting after ten years. She now uses her real name, Subhamitra.
