Hrithik, Tiger's 'War' not to have a trailer launch event
After receiving a thunderous response for War teaser, reports said that the makers of the Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer were planning a event to launch the trailer. However, it seems that it has been scrapped now, as the team felt that the event wouldn't be able to live up to the massive scale of the action movie. Director Siddharth Anand also confirmed the development.
"Impossible to create this spectacle from an event logistics POV"
"An event for a film like this needs to be at par with what we are promising to audiences and it's impossible to create this spectacle from an event logistics POV," Siddharth said. He however quickly added that the "team tried to create a visual spectacle for the trailer launch," but "the event was not being able to match the scale of the film."
"We are hoping audiences will love what they see"
As a result, the makers decided to "leave audiences with only the visuals of the trailer." The Salaam Namaste director continued, "We are very excited about the trailer. It is a big asset and we are hoping audiences will love what they see!"
Four leading Hollywood action directors roped in to choreograph stunts
The YRF production has reportedly been shot in seven countries across 15 different cities. For the action drama, both the actors, Hrithik and Tiger, underwent rigorous training to pull off the high-octane action sequences. For a particular bike stunt, they had to be precise, otherwise they would have hurt themselves. Notably, four leading Hollywood action directors were roped in to choreograph the sequences.
Only Tiger could stand in front of me, says Hrithik
War also marks the coming together of Bollywood's top two action stars for the first time. Tiger, who idolizes Hrithik, said, "Every day is a challenge with Hrithik sir as he is so perfect in every shot he gives." On the other hand, the Super 30 star believed that "only Tiger had the power to stand" in front of him.
