Budget issues push Hrithik's 'Krrish 4' to 2026: Report
What's the story
Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 4 has reportedly hit a roadblock.
The film needs a budget of around ₹700cr, a sum no studio is ready to invest in, reported Bollywood Hungama.
"The studios were not confident about Krrish at this budget in the post-Marvel era as it has been more than a decade since the release of Krrish 3."
"Hrithik had assigned the job of getting a studio on board to Siddharth Anand, who was also producing the film," said a source.
Production changes
'Krrish 4' to be produced by FilmKraft
However, Anand will reportedly not be associated with the project anymore.
The report added that Roshan and his father, Rakesh Roshan, have decided to approach studios across India to secure a lucrative deal.
The production will now be handled by FilmKraft with a leading studio, while Anand's Marflix will shift its focus to other projects, according to the report.
The film, which was initially scheduled to start in the second half of 2025, may now begin filming in 2026.
Team changes
New director and team for 'Krrish 4'
The source added that Karan Malhotra, who was roped in by Anand, will no longer helm Krrish 4.
"With Sid taking a backseat, Karan too will part ways with the project. A brand new team will now come on board film, to rework the budgets first and then take the film on floors."
"The things should be better for Hrithik once War 2 releases and scores big results."
An official confirmation from the makers about the film's schedule is awaited.
