Hrithik says he shares a "beautiful relationship" with ex-wife Sussanne
In 2013, Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan left everyone shocked after they called off their 12-year-old marriage. However, despite divorce, the two share a genuine bond and don't compromise on their friendship or on co-parenting their sons. Recently, Hrithik spoke about his ex-wife Sussanne in an interview to GQ magazine, and said that they share a "beautiful relationship" and they "respect each other's individuality."
Love cannot turn into hate, emphasized Hrithik
Explaining their relationship further, Hrithik stated that love can never turn into hate. "It's a beautiful relationship. With our kids, with us as friends, it's all about wisdom. One thing is for sure: Love can't turn into hate. If it's hate, it wasn't love. The flipside of love is also love. Once you understand that, you'll keep finding ways back into love," he added.
You have to respect each other's individuality, says the actor
Hrithik also emphasized how respecting each other's individuality is important. For this, he quoted Kahlil Gibran from his book The Prophet and said, "Love's a temple that's held up by two columns. If the columns become one, the temple will topple. The further apart they are, and the stronger they are, the bigger the temple of love. So you've to respect each other's individuality."
When Sussanne came out in support of the Roshans
On her part, Sussanne also supports Hrithik and his family, whenever needed. Recently, when Kangana Ranaut's sister-cum-manager Rangoli Chandel accused Hrithik and his family of harassing his sister Sunaina, Sussanne jumped in to lend support to the Roshans. In fact, after Sunaina tweeted about "living in hell," the 40-year-old interior designer defended Hrithik's family, and urged fans to "respect the family's tough period."
