#BirthdaySpecial: 6 qualities of Bhaijaan fan
Kareena Kapoor Khan in one of her interviews said Salman Khan is a religion, not a star. It is hard to not agree with her. His fans have made it their life goal to tell us why Bollywood's Bhaijaan is the best. And even with all might (read logic), you just can't tell them otherwise. As Salman turns 53 today, we bring to you 6 defining qualities of his fans.
But before we start, a disclaimer: It's all fun here
Before Salman's fans jump to troll or abuse me, let this be known: This article is meant for fun and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I don't intend to offend you or question your love for him. Let's get started, shall we?
Salman is 53 and still a 'Bhai'. Why though?
There's no difference between Salman and my father's age (no kidding). And this must be the case for many 90s kids. But Salman's fans still call him Bhai. Why? Notably, Salman himself isn't a fan of the Bhai tag. He had said he has only two brothers and that's it. Isn't it time fans stopped forging a familial relationship with him?
Just like Salman is their Bhai, Katrina is their 'Bhabhi'
Salman's fans are obsessed with his relationship with Katrina Kaif, which by the way didn't see a happy ending. They refer to Katrina as Bhabhi (sister-in-law) and if they had their way, they would have gotten both of them married by now. These jokes are, of course, childish and best suited for school days. But who would explain this to Salman's fans?
What's Diwali or Christmas? Their favorite festival is Eid
To be fair Salman's fans have all the reasons to rejoice on Eid. His much-awaited movies often hit screens during the festival and give them a reason to cheer (or live?). The euphoria around Eid releases is humongous, single screens are filled and as a result, the movies earn well on the first day. Even if it's Race 3!
Who is Shah Rukh Khan? They only know one Khan
Salman and Shah Rukh Khan are pretty tight, regard each other as brothers and their late night conversations gives a lot of fodder to entertainment journalists. Despite the mutual respect, Salman's fans don't have the best thoughts about SRK and the battles on social media prove this. If you are a Salman fan, you have to despise SRK. We wonder who made rules?
Fashion means 'Being Human' tees, sunglasses and bracelet
If not by their actions, you can spot a Salman fan by their dressing style. When a Salman fan is asked to dress for an occasion, he opens his wardrobe, takes out a 'Being Human' t-shirt, wears sunglasses and puts on the iconic bracelet having a blue stone. Whatever Salman wears on and off screen, becomes a rage on streets. Trends be damned!
Gym is equal to jim but it's a holy place
Salman made bodybuilding cool. He should be thanked for making thousands of people fitness freaks. His fans don't know much about protein shakes or equipment in the gym, but they do know they want a body like Bhai. So, they begin sweating in the gym and as result, we see mini Salmans on roads. Truth be told, the beefed-up bodies is another reason why no one messes with Salman's fans.
