Malhotra said, "I always feel that to truly ace a character, you need to have a deep understanding of their backstory—both on-screen and off-screen. For Richa, I kept a journal to document her thoughts, feelings, and emotions."
"I wanted to understand where she was coming from what her journey had been and how she emotionally navigated every situation. The journal helped me get into her mindset and think about what she was feeling and thinking at each stage."
