Undergoing treatment in US, Rishi Kapoor wants to return home
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, along with wife Neetu Singh, went to the US in September 2018, for his cancer treatment. For the last eight months, the actor hasn't visited India even once. Unfortunately, he couldn't even return home for his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor's funeral. The time away from home has made Rishi sad, and now he desperately wants to return. Here's why.
Rishi is homesick and feels alone in New York
The Deewaar actor has been active on social media and keeps his fans updated about his health. He tweeted, "Today I complete eight months here in New York. When will l ever get home?" Media reports revealed that the actor will undergo a bone-marrow transplant which notably has extended his treatment for a few months. Stay strong, Rishi, you have long way to go.
"God has been kind! I am in remission"
In an interview with a daily, Rishi revealed that he is in the remission phase and doing better than before. "My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free," he said. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that his father might be back in two months.
Ranbir said the last one year was difficult
Further, Rishi's son Ranbir Kapoor said that his father is doing well and will soon be back. "It has been a hard one year for him. His desire and only endeavor in life is to act in movies. So this one-year sabbatical has been a little setback for him. But he is doing really well for himself," he said in an interview.
