'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2': I am not quitting, clarifies Hina
Television actress Hina Khan's fans were shocked after the reports of her exit from Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 surfaced. She plays the role of new age Komolika in the show and left all impressed with her performance. While reports of her exit left her fans disappointed, Hina clarified that she isn't quitting KZK 2. She is just taking a break for the time being.
Hina to make her Bollywood debut soon?
Hina carved a niche for herself as the sanskari bahu of Indian television with Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. For KZK 2, she glammed up for the vamp role, which surprised the audience. However, despite receiving positive response for her performance, it was reported that Hina chose to leave the show midway as she wanted to pursue her dream of venturing into Bollywood.
Now, Hina rubbishes reports of quitting 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2'
The news of Hina quitting the popular show has left fans disheartened, but the actress clarified that isn't the case. "I'm not quitting KZK. I'm going on a break for five-six months, as I've given my nod to a movie. I've communicated this to the makers," Hina told Bombay Times. Her break starts soon and she won't be seen on the show after March.
Is Hina upset with 'KZK 2' storyline?
Hina had taken a break from the show last November as well. Recent reports also suggested that she isn't pleased with the storyline of KZK 2. Notably, the makers have changed the original plot of the show, wherein Anurag (Parth Samthaan) would be married off to Prerna (Erica Fernandez). In the original, Anurag was married to Komolika, while Prerna was married to Rishab Bajaj.
'I'll be back on the show whenever I am required'
However, Hina also rubbished the reports of her being upset with the storyline and subsequently leaving the show. In fact, she assured her fans about her return on the show, whenever story demands. "I will be back on the show whenever I am required. In the earlier season too, the track would change and Komolika would take a break and come back," Hina added.
Hina to make debut at Cannes this year with 'Lines'
Meanwhile, Hina is looking forward to making her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year with her movie Lines. Helmed by Hussain Khan, it also features Rishi Bhutani and veteran actor Farida Jalal in key roles. While this will be Hina's first appearance on the big screen, she is also in talks for several other international projects. Way to go girl!
