PVR INOX to re-release 'Highway,' 'Queen,' 'Fashion' on Women's Day

To celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 (Saturday), PVR INOX has announced a special film festival.
The festival, which started on March 7 to continue till March 13, will see the re-release of three women-centric films: Highway, Queen, and Fashion.
The films were selected for their strong female leads and themes of women empowerment.

'Fashion' explores the harsh realities of fame
Set in Mumbai's ruthless fashion industry, Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion is a must-watch.
Starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas as small-town girl Meghna Mathur, who achieves stardom but soon faces its harsh realities, the film's narrative emphasizes that success comes at a high price.
Kangana Ranaut and Mugdha Godse also play pivotal roles in this 2008 film.

'Highway' and 'Queen' celebrate self-discovery and independence
Highway (2014) stars Alia Bhatt as Veera, who goes on a journey of self-discovery after being abducted. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film is famous for its evocative storytelling, stunning visuals, and AR Rahman's soulful soundtrack.
Lastly, 2014's release Queen stars Ranaut as Rani Mehra, who takes her honeymoon trip alone after being ditched by her fiance. This journey becomes a path toward self-empowerment.

Other Bollywood classics to be screened alongside Women's Day lineup
Along with the Women's Day lineup, theaters will also screen a few other classics this Friday.
The lineup features Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera (2013), Fahadh Faasil-starrer Kumbalangi Nights (2019), Rajkummar Rao-starrer Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana (2017), Dev Benegal's Road, Movie (2009), and Mahesh Babu-starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (2013).
