#GameOfThrones: Why does the cast make fun of Kit Harington?
Game of Thrones is going to air its eighth and final season on April 14. The popular HBO show recently dropped a teaser promising the icy battle that is coming to Westeros. However, before the show commences with its battles and politics, Sophie Turner who plays Sansa Stark has revealed why cast members make fun of Kit Harington who plays Jon Snow. Read on.
A hairy situation for Sansa Stark on sets
Turner started speaking about the expectations the show makers had about the hair of the characters. According to her, during Season 5's filming she wasn't allowed to wash her hair to give it a grimier and realistic look, that would reflect the adventures of her character on the show. Needless to say, Turner was less than pleased and described the situation as 'really disgusting'.
Jon Snow has the best hair on the show
Turner soon steered the conversation towards her co-stars' hair, on the show. Specifically, she spoke of her half brother Jon, played by Harington. Speaking of his hair, Sansa commented that he has the best hair on Game of Thrones and clearly stated that, "He probably takes the most care of his hair out of like everyone on the show I know".
Harington is obsessed with his hair in real life too
Turner continued, that not only did Jon have the best hair on the show, but Harington himself was obsessed about his hair. She mentioned how he would take hours before red carpet events scrunching ends of his curls, making sure they were all perfect. Naturally, his co-stars could not resist joking as Turner revealed, "We all take the piss out on him for that".
Emilia Clarke proves Turner's point about Kit's incredibly great hair
Emilia Clarke who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the show said, "There's a consistent drumbeat of taking the piss out of his incredible hair... His hair just takes over everything. My ridiculous handcrafted wig doesn't come close to standing up to his man bun".
