'Kid' Shakti Kapoor's reaction on Tanushree's allegations is beyond disappointing
What's the story
Bollywood celebrities are expected to speak up on matters, but they seem to have mastered the act of coming up with disappointing answers.
Case in point: Shakti Kapoor. The actor claimed he knew nothing about the Tanushree Dutta episode, which happened 10 years ago since he was a 'kid'. His biological age was 56 then.
For the uninitiated, Tanushree alleged Nana Patekar sexually harassed her on a film's sets in 2008.
Details
Kapoor seemed to be totally unaware of the issue
When asked to comment on the controversy, Kapoor told reporters, "I've come from the US yesterday, so I've no clue about it. And if I say something, it will be wrong...You tell me what has happened."
When one of the reporters briefed him about the matter, the actor said, "I don't know what happened 10 years ago, I was a kid 10 back then."
Do you know?
Shakti Kapoor's definition of 'being a kid' is distorted
Kapoor is 66 years old, ten years ago, he was 56. No one is a kid at this age. But Kapoor used it as an excuse to not address the issue. Rather than standing up for Tanushree, he chose the easier route, like many.
