Robert Pattinson is most famous for playing the role of brooding Edward Cullen in the Twilight series. However, could the actor go from playing a vampire to playing Batman? Following Ben Affleck's exit from the Batman role, several actors are being eyed as a potential replacement. Now, new fan art has emerged, imagining Pattinson in the role of Batman. Take a look!
Upcoming Batman movie will need a younger Bruce Wayne
As we had reported, an upcoming standalone movie titled The Batman is being directed by Matt Reeves and is scheduled to release on June 25, 2021. It is supposed to be a noir-inspired detective tale which will be dark and focus on Bruce towards the start of his crime-fighting career. Thus the film is looking for a younger actor to play Batman.
Affleck was supposed to act and direct, but left project
For those unaware, Affleck was supposed to direct and act in the upcoming Batman movie. However, as we reported, the star has relinquished both roles in the project. He took to Twitter to express the same. Notably, following Affleck's exit, Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra's husband, expressed an interest in stepping into the shoes of a younger Bruce Wayne for the new film.

While Nick's claim was not taken seriously by most fans, Pattinson seems to be a more likable choice. Although we would not normally associate Pattinson with Batman, new fan art has emerged raising our hopes. The artwork is by BossLogic which does renditions of actors in rumored or recently cast roles. It imagines Pattinson as Wayne with the shadow of Batman behind him.

Would Pattinson make a good Batman?
Pattinson certainly fits the white square-jawed facial structure that is associated with Batman. But, the actor would have to buff up for the part. As far as acting is concerned, Pattinson has proved his merit in roles like Rover and Good Time. Although he is part of a very long list of probable actors, we would not mind seeing Pattinson as the caped crusader.
