After 'Manikarnika', Kangana Ranaut to direct her own biopic
The year 2019 started on a good note for actress Kangana Ranaut who proved her directorial skills with Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. While the diva is basking in the success of her directorial debut, Kangana, recently, announced her next project as a director. Reportedly, Kangana will be directing her own biopic which is based on her life and journey in Bollywood. Narcissistic, much?
My biopic will not be a propaganda movie
Confirming the news, Kangana stated that her next directorial will depict her own story. However, she also emphasized that it will not be a propaganda movie. "It's a sincere, heartfelt account of my journey so far with plenty of lighter moments. I'm emboldened by the love of people around me, who have never judged me but accepted me for who I am," Kangana added.
Kangana is the controversy queen of Bollywood
Interestingly, Kangana is controversy's favorite child. Her most talked about controversies include instigating the nepotism debate on Koffee With Karan 5 where she had called Karan Johar the flag-bearer of nepotism in Bollywood. Besides, her alleged love affair with Hrithik Roshan was also the talk of the town. And, she also fought for directorial credits in her recent release Manikarnika.
Biopic to feature Hrithik, KJo's characters
Needless to say, Kangana's biopic will be incomplete without the aforementioned controversies. So, will her movie have characters on Hrithik Roshan and Karan Johar? To this, Kangana replied, "How can I show my journey without people. I can't be walking alone. But we will not be taking any names." Looks like this biopic will add another controversial chapter in Kangana's life.
My biopic will be a story of an achiever: Kangana
Furthermore, Kangana stated that her biopic will chronicle her journey in Bollywood and how she carved a niche for herself in the industry without a godfather. "It is the story of an achiever, a girl from mountains who came into Bollywood without any connections or even a godfather, and went on to carve a niche for herself against all odds," Kangana was quoted saying.
