It's a wrap! Jeremy Renner announces 'Hawkeye' has finished filming
Hawkeye has finished production, its lead actor Jeremy Renner has announced. Taking to his Instagram, he expressed gratitude to his entire cast and crew, while sharing the development. The Marvel Studios and Disney+ miniseries is part of MCU Phase Four and is expected to premiere in late 2021. It will join WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and the upcoming series Loki.
'This is not goodbye, but a see you soon'
In his social media post, Renner is seen applauding in a black and white photo. He also shared more behind-the-scenes looks on Instagram Stories. He was appreciative of the entire cast, crew, and stunt team for Hawkeye in the post. "Last day, for Now. This is not goodbye, but a see you soon. Thank you cast, crew and Marvel (sic)," he wrote on Instagram.

The show will introduce Hailee Steinfeld as female Hawkeye
To note, Renner will reprise the role of Clint Barton and Hawkeye. The show will introduce Hailee Steinfeld as Barton's protegee Kate Bishop and the female Hawkeye. Rounding up the stellar star cast will be actors Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d'Arcy James, Alaqua Cox, and Florence Pugh. Lucky the Pizza Dog will also make an appearance as Hawkeye's companion.
A Maya Lopez/Echo spinoff is already in the works
The story of the show will begin after the events of Avengers: Endgame, which released in 2019. The miniseries will explore the characters of Renner and Steinfeld, whom he is training to take over as Hawkeye. However, other details aren't known yet. A spin-off series, based on Cox's character Maya Lopez/Echo, a deaf native American comic book character, is already in the works.
Renner is a musician too! Can play guitar, keyboard, drums
Renner is a twice Oscar nominee. He was given the Academy Award nod (Best Actor) for The Hurt Locker (2008) and two years later, he was nominated for The Town in the Best Supporting Actor category. Besides acting, he is also a singer-songwriter and can play guitar, keyboard, and drums. His first extended play was released in March 2020 called The Medicine.
