'Haseen Dillruba' to return? Taapsee Pannu hints at third installment
Three years after the successful release of Haseen Dillruba, actors Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey are teaming up once again for the film's sequel, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. It will premiere on Friday on Netflix. Joining them in this cinematic endeavor is Sunny Kaushal, a newcomer to the cast. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Pannu expressed her excitement about sharing screen space with Kaushal for the first time and spilled some tea on the third installment in the series.
Pannu shared humorous anecdotes and praised co-star Kaushal
Pannu humorously recounted her experiences with Kaushal on the film set, stating he had "bullied" her. She quipped, "Lag raha hai ki kuch toh achcha kiya hoga ki phir se bula liya hai [to be a part of Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba]. We must have done something really good to deserve Sunny." "And I had invited him personally to my housewarming. I never told Vicky Kaushal to bring him along as his plus one (laughs)!"
Pannu celebrates fifth collaboration with writer Kanika Dhillon
Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba marks Pannu's fifth collaboration with writer Kanika Dhillon. Their creative partnership began with Manmarziyaan and continued through Haseen Dillruba, Rashmi Rocket, and Dunki. Speaking about their "sisterhood," Pannu said, "We're just getting more and more scandalous with each other with each passing year." "It started off with Manmarziyaan when she got me to do something that was ideologically totally against me. I never thought I would be able to portray someone like that so convincingly."
Pannu hinted at future collaborations with Dhillon
When asked about the possibility of a third part to Haseen Dillruba, Pannu hinted at potential future collaborations with Dhillon. She said, "I'll give the book Malice to Kanika for a part three of Haseen Dillruba." "Hopefully, Hasseen Dillruba baar baar aati rahegi and kabhi jaaye hi na (laughs). You'll see a lot of collaborations between me and Kanika in the future as well."
