Hansal Mehta to direct a web-series based on 'The Scam'

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta is all set to return to the digital platform with a brand new web-series titled 'The Scam'.
The director's latest endeavor will be based on Debashish Basu and Sucheta Dalal's book 'The Scam: From Harshad Mehta to Ketan Parekh'.
The 10-part series will unfold one of the biggest financial scams in the Indian stock market.

Here's what Mehta said in a statement
"I had read the book years ago and even toyed with the idea of making it into a film but it never got made. I believe every story has its destiny. With our newspapers screaming scam every day, I think the timing is just right," Mehta said.

Meanwhile, Mehta is gearing up for the release of 'Omerta'
Leaving behind the failure of his last directorial venture 'Simran' starring Kangana Ranaut, Mehta is now looking forward to the release of his next film 'Omerta'.
The film stars his favorite Rajkummar Rao. The actor-director duo has earlier collaborated on films like 'Shahid', 'Citylights' and 'Aligarh'.
They have also worked together in a web series called 'Bose: Dead/Alive'.
