Prithviraj Sukumaran's 'Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil' is coming this month
The highly anticipated comedy film Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Basil Joseph, is confirmed to hit the big screens in May. The production team announced this online on Thursday, effectively ending any rumors about a potential delay. Sukumaran, who had a successful year with notable roles in Aadujeevitham and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, also confirmed the release date on his social media platforms with an intriguing caption: "Bhayam venda jagratha mathi (no need to fear, just be cautious)."
'Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil': A peek into the plot
Directed by Vipin Das, known for his work on Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil is expected to be a comedy delight set to globally premiere on May 16. The film's plot revolves around an enthusiastic groom who unknowingly marries a woman who despises him. The title refers to the entrance of the famous Guruvayoor temple in Kerala, notorious for its numerous weddings and historical instances of grooms inadvertently marrying the wrong brides.

In addition to Sukumaran and Joseph, Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil also features Anaswara Rajan, Nikhila Vimal, Siju Sunny, Jagadish, and Yogi Babu in his debut Malayalam role. The film is produced by Supriya Menon, Mukesh R Mehta, and CV Sarathi under Prithviraj Productions and E4 Entertainment. The screenplay is penned by Deepu Pradeep, known for his work on Perilloor Premier League, while the music is composed by Ankit Menon. Cinematography is handled by Neeraj Revi with editing overseen by John Kutty.
