Singh's disappearance and subsequent police investigation
Singh's absence raised alarm when he failed to board his flight from Delhi to Mumbai on April 22. His phone remained active until April 24, with several financial transactions traced by the police. His father filed a missing complaint on April 26, emphasizing, "He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing." This complaint led to an FIR being lodged under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Singh's financial woes uncovered during investigation
The investigation also revealed that Singh was facing financial difficulties. He was found to be a frequent user of credit cards and operated more than 10 bank accounts. Per a Free Press Journal report, he withdrew ₹14,000 from an ATM and used credit cards to settle balances on other cards. Responding to these findings, Hargit told Bombay Times, "I had no idea about my son's financial situation. He never told me anything about it. So I am not aware."
Meanwhile, know about his role in 'TMKOC'
Singh briefly left the hit show TMKOC in 2013 but returned due to audience demand. After his final departure in 2020, actor Balwinder Singh Suri took over the role. Despite rumors about delayed payments causing his exit, Singh previously stated, "There are some other reasons I don't want to talk about." Meanwhile, in a separate interview, producer Asit Kumarr Modi stated, "It was nothing like that...That was during COVID times and it was stressful for all of us."
