Asit Modi expresses concern over Gurucharan Singh's sudden disappearance
Asit Kumarr Modi, the producer of the popular comedy series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), recently voiced his shock over actor Gurucharan Singh's sudden disappearance. In a conversation with Times Now, Modi described Singh's unexplained absence as "very painful and shocking." Despite Singh's departure from the show during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Modi confirmed that their relationship remained cordial.
'I don't know why this has happened'
Modi expressed his concern about Singh's safety, stating, "Gurucharan always used to meet me with a smile. His disappearance is very shocking, I don't know why this has happened." He revealed that an investigation into Singh's disappearance is ongoing and expressed hope for a positive outcome. Modi also shared his prayers for the actor's safety and wished that he would start responding to calls soon.
Modi debunked rumors of unpaid dues
Modi addressed rumors about unpaid dues for Singh after his exit from TMKOC in 2020, stating there were no outstanding payments. He further explained that the COVID-19 pandemic had halted shootings, causing stress for everyone involved in the show. Despite this, Modi revealed that he and Singh maintained regular contact and their last meeting was approximately "six-seven months ago." Singh played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi on TMKOC.
Here's what we know about Singh's disappearance

DCP South-West Delhi Rohit Meena confirmed the actor's disappearance to media portals and stated that an investigation is underway with police examining CCTV footage. His family had lodged a missing complaint after which a case was registered. Singh was reportedly "unwell" before going missing.
