Govinda's wife issues major update in accidental gun firing incident

Bollywood actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda is reportedly on the road to recovery following an accidental gunshot wound to his leg. The incident occurred while he was handling his licensed revolver at home, as per reports.
His wife, Sunita Ahuja, confirmed that he is "better" and will be moved from the ICU to a normal ward on Wednesday. She also stated that he is expected to be discharged in two days' time.

As per ANI, Ahuja shared an update on Govinda's health, saying, "Govinda is better. We will admit him to the normal ward today."
She further added, "He is much better than yesterday. He will be discharged the day after tomorrow. With everyone's blessings, he has recovered... He has a great fan following, so people are praying for him...I would like to tell the fans to not panic, he is fine."

The Mumbai Police and Crime Branch are on the case. A team led by Senior Police Inspector Daya Nayak visited the hospital to chat with Govinda about what happened.
The police have confirmed that no one has filed a complaint yet and also verified that Govinda was alone when the accident happened at his home early Tuesday morning.

Govinda received 'around 8-10 stitches'
His manager, Shashi Sinha, explained how the incident unfolded.
Speaking to the media, she said, "Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata and was putting his licensed revolver back in the cupboard when it slipped from his hand, and the gun went off, hitting him in the leg."
Dr. Agarwal at CritiCare Hospital, Juhu, confirmed that Govinda received "around 8-10 stitches" two inches below his knee.

The whole industry is in shock after the recent incident, with actors Arshad Warsi and Arbaaz Khan expressing their concern and wishing Govinda a speedy recovery at the trailer launch of their upcoming film, Bandaa Singh Chaudhary.
Govinda himself shared an audio message thanking his fans and Dr. Agarwal for their support and treatment respectively.
His daughter Tina Ahuja also visited him in the hospital while Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reached out to him personally to convey his concern.
