Gul Panag has a six-month-old son and no one knew
Gul Panag and husband Rishi Attari had a baby, six months ago, and no one knew about it. This came as a surprise (and shock) to everyone as Gul managed to keep her pregnancy and childbirth away from social media. First off, congratulations to the couple for Nihal. But why the secrecy? Gul explained why she kept motherhood away from social media. Read on!
Why keep good news like this a secret ?
The news is bound to make one wonder why in the social-media age we didn't know about it sooner. Gul said she and her husband valued their privacy and while close friends and family members were aware of Nihal's birth, they chose to refrain from making the news public. She added they didn't want public distraction as they entered a new phase. Understandable!
But why was Gul's bump not noticed? Answer is here
For those unaware, Gul is a fitness freak and during her pregnancy, she ensured she ate healthily and stayed active. She further mentioned Nihal was born prematurely, which is why she didn't put on a lot of weight. This made it easier for her to return to a workout routine to shed the extra kilos, she said. Now, that's inspirational.
New mother Gul has a message for other women
Gul seems to be handling motherhood really well. She said that she and her husband made time for the baby always, but also tried to spend time together. The actress had a message for other women too. She urged them to have kids only when they felt prepared that they could welcome and raise a life, not when the society wanted them to.
Model, activist, mother, Gul ticks all the boxes
Gul is so much more than a beauty queen and an accomplished actress. She's a social activist and runs an NGO that address issues like gender inequality and disaster management. Besides this, she is also a marathon runner, an avid biker and a certified pilot. And now she balances all of this with motherhood. This is more than just amazing!
