Grammys 2025: Full list of winners
What's the story
The 2025 Grammy Awards, hosted at the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles, were a mix of celebration and solemnity as they celebrated top musical talents while also paying tribute to victims of the recent LA wildfires.
The night's biggest award, Album of the Year, went to Beyoncé for Cowboy Carter. This was her first win in this category and she is only the fourth Black woman to achieve this honor.
Here's the full list of winners.
Historic win
Beyoncé made history with country music Grammy win
Beyoncé also bagged Best Country Album and Best Country Duo Performance with Miley Cyrus. In her acceptance speech, she was surprised and urged artists to follow their passion irrespective of the genre.
With these wins, Beyoncé became the first Black woman to win a country Grammy in 50 years.
In 2023, she became the most-awarded artist in Grammy history with Renaissance and added three more wins on Monday (IST), bringing her total to 35 awards and 99 nominations.
Lamar's triumph
Kendrick Lamar swept 5 awards for controversial diss track
Rapper Kendrick Lamar ruled the night, winning five awards for his controversial track Not Like Us, which is currently embroiled in a defamation lawsuit. He won both Song and Record of the Year.
The song, a fiery critique of fellow rapper Drake, made Lamar a 22-time Grammy award-winning rapper, closing in on Jay-Z and Ye.
In his acceptance speech, he dedicated his win to Los Angeles—the city he will be performing in at next week's Super Bowl halftime show.
New talent
Chappell Roan was named Best New Artist at Grammys
In the cutthroat Best New Artist category, Chappell Roan triumphed over Shaboozey, Raye, Benson Boone, and Sabrina Carpenter.
In her acceptance speech, the 26-year-old singer, known for her hit Good Luck, Babe!, called for better wages and healthcare for emerging artists.
"I would demand that labels in the industry profiting millions of dollars off of artists would offer a livable wage and health care," she said.
