#RangeelaRaja controversy: Some people are conspiring against me, claims Govinda
After the box office failure of his last release 'FryDay', Govinda is back with another movie 'Rangeela Raja' and he has high hopes from it. However, the movie has been mired in controversies after CBFC suggested 20 cuts in it. Miffed with the same, Govinda has claimed that there are people in Bollywood who are conspiring against him and don't want him to work.
Many of my films weren't released: Govinda
During a press conference, Govinda claimed that he has been targeted for nine years now. He further revealed that there have been several good movies of his, which didn't see the light of the day. "So many times I was told that there was a problem between the financiers and the producers. Sometimes the films had some legal troubles," Govinda stated.
How could they just stop Pahlaj Nihalani, Govinda questions
Govinda mentioned while he has been coping up with this for long, the controversy around 'Rangeela Raja' was unbelievable. Notably, the movie is produced by former CBFC chief Pahlaj Nihalani, who has mercilessly chopped scenes in many movies (in his previous avatar) and was now suggested cuts by the same board. On this, Govinda said, "How could they just stop film of a producer like Pahlaj Nihalani".
I am not getting a platform to work, complains Govinda
Expressing concern over the controversy, Govinda said that he failed to understand the reason behind these conspiracies. He also mentioned that his movies were not getting enough screens as well. "With all these experiences, I am forced to think that there is a problem. There are some people in the industry who are not providing me with a platform to act," Govinda added.
I will not give up, says Govinda
Although Govinda is sure there is a conspiracy against him in the industry, he isn't in a mood to give up. He stated that despite the adversities, he will continue to work hard, and he believes that God will support him in this. He also urged people to let him showcase his work and provide him with a platform for the same.
