Varun's 'Mr. Lele' revamped as Vicky Kaushal's 'Govinda Naam Mera'?
Vicky Kaushal's first look from his upcoming film Govinda Naam Mera has been released by Dharma Productions. Featuring him along with Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar as the leading ladies, the film is slated to be released on June 10 next year. The probable groom-to-be also took to his social media space and shared his look as Govinda Waghmare from the film.
Why does it matter?
According to media reports, Govinda Naam Mera is the revamped version of Shashank Kaithan's earlier film Mr. Lele. The original script was planned with Varun Dhawan in the titular role. Some reports have suggested that the film was shelved as the actor was apparently not happy with the script, and was doubtful of the project. Dhawan's poster was also released in 2019.

Owing to the pandemic, this much-awaited venture was put on hold and then a new star cast was signed. Pednekar was the last one to join the cast in March. The film will have Kaushal playing someone with killer dancing skills, but is struggling with a messy life. Along with Kaushal's, first look posters of the leading ladies were released on social media too.
Advani plays Kaushal's 'naughty girlfriend,' Pednekar is his 'hotty wife'
Co-produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, and Apoorva Mehta, the film has Pednekar as Kaushal's "hotty wife," while Advani will play his "naughty girlfriend." Written and directed by Khaitan (Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania), Govinda Naam Mera's posters show the actresses in retro looks. The story is expected to be a love triangle and will be high on comedy.
For now, Kaushal is gearing up for his wedding
For now, Kaushal is possibly getting ready for his wedding to Katrina Kaif that will happen at Six Senses Fort Barwara, a luxury resort in Rajasthan, in December first week. If reports are to be believed, they have also finalized on their post-marital home. Kaushal has reportedly rented a luxurious apartment in Juhu, making them neighbors to another celebrity pair—Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli!
