'GoT' filmed a 55-day long war sequence for final season
In a development that will make all its fans even more restless, 'Game Of Thrones' has just wrapped up its biggest ever battle scene. The epic war sequence, which will be a major highlight of the concluding season, took as many as 55 days to shoot. Assistant director Jonathan Quinlan shared a thank-you note for the crew, but surprisingly deleted it soon afterward.

Netizens were quick to take the screenshots of the note before Quinlan deleted it. "For enduring 55 straight nights. For enduring the cold, the snow, the rain, the mud, the sheep shit of Toome and the winds of Magheramorne," it read. Further, it said, "When tens of millions of people around the world watch this episode a year from now, they won't know how hard you worked."
The elongated wait will end next year
The new season of 'Games Of Thrones' is exactly a year away from its premiere. The anticipation levels are at an all-time high even though it will have just six episodes. Known for its enthralling showdowns like 'Battle of Bastards' and 'Hardhome' episodes, the hit HBO series is making sure that the season eight's battle scene is as colossal as ever.
