'Good Luck Jerry' trailer promises cocktail of emotions, humor, suspense
The trailer of Janhvi Kapoor starrer Good Luck Jerry is out! Directed by Siddharth Sen, the black comedy crime thriller also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Sushant Singh, Mita Vashisht, and Neeraj Sood in prominent roles. The film is heading toward a straight to OTT release on July 29 on Disney + Hotstar and is Kapoor's first film of the year. Here's a trailer breakdown.
Film to follow Jerry's journey of landing amongst goons
By the looks of it, humor, suspense, thrill, and emotion have been whipped together to serve up this promising thriller. The film will chronicle Jerry's (Kapoor) journey, who goes from being a meek, demure Bihari girl to rubbing shoulders with drug lords and being ensnared in violent undertakings. At 2:50 minutes, however, the trailer runs the risk of having revealed a little too much.
Apart from Kapoor, Singh and Dobriyal also impress
The trailer underlines the circumstances that force Jerry to take on whatever work comes her way, the reason being her mother's painful encounter with cancer. In the second half, we see a noticeable transformation in her mannerisms and speech, as she gradually becomes more determined and vocal. Dobriyal's character particularly steals the limelight as the film's comic relief, while Singh's gangster avatar augments intrigue.
