Kangana Ranaut's 'Manikarnika' may not clash with Akshay Kumar's 'Gold'
The makers of Akshay Kumar starrer 'Gold' had locked August 15, 2018 as the release date of their film almost a couple of years back. It was much later that Kangana Ranaut picked the same weekend for her ambitious project titled 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi'. However, latest reports suggest that 'Manikarnika' has now been pushed to September.
'Manikarnika' is currently in the post-production stage
The shooting of 'Manikarnika' has been completed but it requires a lot of post-production work. Kangana, who is turning producer with the costume drama, doesn't want to compromise with the VFX aspect of the film. Therefore, 'Manikarnika' won't be able to hit the screens on its original release date. The film is being directed by Krish who has previously helmed Akshay's 'Gabbar is Back'.
Will 'Manikarnika' clash with Varun-Anushka's 'Sui Dhaga' instead?
As per a leading publication, the new release date of 'Manikarnika' has been fixed as September 28, which is when Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer 'Sui Dhaga' is slated to hit the screens. Therefore, Kangana's film still won't get a solo release.
