Thalapathy Vijay's hotly-anticipated action film, The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT), is all set to hit the screens on September 5. This science fiction drama, helmed by Venkat Prabhu and bankrolled by AGS Entertainment, is Vijay's 68th film and features him in a dual role as brothers. In an extraordinary achievement, GOAT will reportedly become the first Tamil film to be released on every screen across Tamil Nadu.

As Vijay prepares to retire from cinema, the makers are aiming to deliver the most remarkable release possible. Beast currently holds the record for the highest day-one gross in Tamil Nadu, and given the extensive release planned for GOAT, surpassing Beast should be a massive achievement for Prabhu's film. Meanwhile, Vijay plans to retire from acting after his 69th film to pursue a full-time political career and has already launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam.

The star-studded cast of GOAT includes Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mohan, Jayaram, Ajmal Ameer, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj in key roles. The film also marks another collaboration between Vijay and Trisha Krishnan following their recent release, Leo. The film is produced under the AGS Entertainment banner by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh. The music for the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
