'GOAT' box office Day-24: crosses ₹450cr worldwide, ₹250cr in India
Thalapathy Vijay's latest Tamil flick, GOAT (The Greatest Of All Time), has hit a huge milestone by crossing ₹450 crore in worldwide gross collection. The sci-fi action thriller also managed to rake in over ₹250 crore in India alone. Despite the challenges it faced during its third week, the film got back on track during its fourth weekend after releasing on September 5, 2024.
'GOAT' set new records in Tamil and South Indian cinema
The film's net collection in India stands at ₹1.2 crore on Saturday, contributing to a total net collection of ₹250 crore. The worldwide gross collection on the 24th day was reported to be ₹2 crore, bringing the total worldwide gross to an impressive ₹456 crore. This success has positioned GOAT as the fifth highest-grossing Tamil movie and 11th highest-grossing South Indian film.
'GOAT' plot and star-studded cast
Produced on a whopping budget of ₹380 crore, GOAT revolves around a spy agent named Gandhi, who's part of the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS). The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Vijay, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth Thyagarajan, Sneha Prasanna, Prabhu Deva, and Mohan. Plus, cricket legend MS Dhoni makes his acting debut alongside Trisha Krishnan and Sivakarthikeyan in special cameos!
'GOAT' to make digital debut on Netflix
If you loved watching GOAT in theaters, you're in for a treat! It's reportedly heading to Netflix for streaming, starting next week, October 3, 2024, to be exact. But, hey, we're still waiting for an official word on that.
