Thalapathy Vijay's latest Tamil movie, GOAT (The Greatest Of All Time), is struggling to maintain its momentum at the box office. The film, which hit theaters on September 5 had crossed the ₹100 crore mark within three days of its release. However, after earning ₹200 crore in India, the movie's collections have started to decline.
'GOAT' earns ₹4 crore on Day 17
According to Sacnilk, GOAT earned ₹4 crore at the box office on Day 17 (third Saturday). The film's total net collection in India now stands at ₹238.35 crore. On the same day, it recorded a Tamil occupancy of 39.15% and a Hindi occupancy of 16.89%. Despite the recent drop in collections, the film continues to be praised by audiences and critics alike.
'GOAT' features Vijay in dual roles
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, GOAT follows the story of a spy agent working for the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS). After retiring, he is assigned a task that brings him face-to-face with his past. In the film, Vijay plays dual roles. The sci-fi action thriller also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth Thyagarajan, Sneha Prasanna, Prabhu Deva, Mohan and Premgi Amaren in key roles.
'GOAT' to make digital debut on Netflix
According to reports, GOAT is set to make its digital debut on Netflix. The film is expected to be available for streaming in October.
