'GOAT' slows down; earns ₹229cr in 14 days
Thalapathy Vijay's recent Tamil release, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), has been garnering praise from audiences and critics alike. The film, which hit theaters on September 5, 2024, made a significant impact at the box office in its first week by crossing the ₹100 crore mark within three days. However, the film saw a major dip in collections on its second Wednesday.
'GOAT' earns ₹2.5 crore on Day 14
According to Sacnilk, GOAT managed to earn ₹2.5 crore on its 14th day at the box office. This brings the film's total net collection to ₹229.1 crore. Despite crossing the ₹200 crore mark within 11 days of its release, the recent dip in collections has raised doubts about the film's ability to reach the ₹300 crore mark in India.
'GOAT' witnesses low theater occupancy
On September 18, GOAT recorded a theater occupancy of 18.08% for Tamil and 9.22% for Hindi. This significant decrease in theater attendance has contributed to the film's recent dip in box office collection. This downturn is especially worrying as it was earning well till Tuesday, it collected ₹6cr on September 16 and ₹7cr on September 17.
