'Baahubali' prequel 'Sivagami' to be made as web-series

After the stupendous success of 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and its sequel 'Baahubali: The Conclusion', the makers of the franchise are now planning to come up with a web-series which will be a prequel of sorts.
Producers Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni are said to be in talks with Netflix to create a show on queen mother Sivagami.

The web-series will trace Sivagami's life before Mahishmati
Based on the novel 'The Rise Of Sivagami', the show will project the era prior to 'Baahubali: The Beginning' and will trace Sivagami's life before she got married into the Mahishmati Kingdom.
The makers are yet to finalize the leading lady of the web-series. In the film, the character was essayed by Ramya Krishnan.
It will reportedly be directed by Rajamouli along with Deva Katta.

The shooting for the show will start in August
"Sivagami will be a multi-lingual web series and the first season will have 10 episodes. A massive set is currently being erected at the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad," a source was quoted as saying by a leading daily.
