India's Disco King Bappi Lahiri laid to rest in Mumbai
What's the story
Legendary music composer Bappi Lahiri was laid to rest on Thursday at the Pawan Hans Crematorium, Vile Parle, Mumbai.
His son Bappa Lahiri, who had flown in from the United States in the wee hours of Thursday, has conducted the final rites.
Lahiri died on Tuesday around midnight at the CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital, Juhu. He was 69.

Flower-decked truck carried Lahiri's body to crematorium
Lahiri's mortal remains were carried to the crematorium on a flower-decked truck.
A banner carrying his photo was placed on top of the vehicle that had the words "Bhavpurna Shradhanjali" written at the bottom.
Earlier on Thursday, choreographer Sandip Soparrkar, actors Sharbani Mukherjee and Rupali Ganguly, and producer Raja Mukherjee visited Lahiri's residence to pay their final respects to the artist.

Hospital director on what caused Lahiri's death
According to Dr. Deepak Namjoshi, Director of the CritiCare Hospital, Lahiri was admitted there a month back and was discharged on Monday.
On Tuesday, his health condition deteriorated and he was rushed to the hospital again.
"He was brought to the hospital. He had multiple health issues. He died due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight," Dr. Namjoshi told to PTI.

Condolences came in from PM Modi, President Kovind
Condoling his death, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had tweeted on Wednesday that Lahiri's music was "all-encompassing, beautifully expressing diverse emotions."
"People across generations could relate to his works. His lively nature will be missed by everyone," he added.
"Shri Bappi Lahiri was a matchless singer-composer," President Ramnath Kovind had tweeted.
The artist is survived by his wife Chitrani, son Bappa, and daughter Rema.

Lahiri died 10 days after Lata Mangeshkar's passing
Lahiri died just 10 days after musical doyen Lata Mangeshkar took her last breath in Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai.
Lahiri and Mangeshkar had collaborated frequently and produced several noteworthy songs in Hindi and Bengali.
Apart from these two giants, the music industry lost another gem recently, Bengali singer Sandhya Mukherjee.
Mukherjee died at a private hospital in Kolkata also on Tuesday.
