Game of Thrones, a quick recap on everything that happened
It is not possible for everyone to remember everything that went down in the last season of Game of Thrones. But the new season is approaching fast and it is our solemn duty to make sure that you get a quick refresher course of what happened so that, you don't have to backtrack every moment to add the broken links. Here's all about it.
Cersei is now sitting on the Iron Throne
Cersei is now sitting on the Iron Throne, flanked by his brother and love Jaime, as the newly anointed Queen and Protector of the Seven Kingdoms. Her son, Tommen committed suicide after knowing that his mother has killed the High Sparrow, the Faith Militant, Queen Margaery and other bystanders in hell fire. Tommen had inherited the Throne from Joffrey, who was poisoned to death.
Khaleesi and her dragons are on their way
Daenerys Targaryen aka Khaleesi is finally on her way to Westeros to claim the Iron Throne for herself. She is being aided by Tyrion Lannister, who is now the hand of the Queen and also a fan favorite. The mother of dragons has the Unsullied, Dothraki, and an impressive armada among other things. Recently she's also forged an alliance with Yara and Theon Greyjoy.
Jon is the king of the north
Jon Snow, after coming back from death has reunited with his sister Sansa Stark and has reclaimed Winterfell. He has now been proclaimed the King of the North. Sansa Stark, too, has come a long way. Post escape from her husband/rapist Ramsay Bolton, she provided the eleventh-hour army to Jon Snow to win back Winterfell, after which she took her revenge from Bolton.
What the kids have been up to?
Bran in the last finale went to his father's past and now knows Jon Snow's true identity. Snow is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen. This makes Jon a legit contender for the Iron Throne. Arya is revisiting her kill-list. After serving Walder Frey a meal made with his sons' flesh, she slit his throat as a payback for the red wedding.
Now, the winter is finally coming
Meanwhile, The Night King along with his army of un-dead White Walkers are slowly approaching the Wall, which if not stopped will lay destruction on all the seven kingdoms. Also, the Hound is back with his old pals, the Brotherhood without Banners and Samwell Tarley is beginning his training as a maester. Now, you can begin the new season without any worries.
