#GameOfThrones: Looking at final Season's details
'Game of Thrones' will reappear for its final season in the earlier half of next year. While show details are being kept under wraps to a degree of paranoia where actors have code names, some information about the final season has been revealed. What we know about the final season
While much about Season 8 remains unknown until HBO releases an official trailer, we have some fascinating details. The show will come back full circle as the Starks of Winterfell await the arrival of the ruler of Westeros. In Season 1 they waited for Robert Baratheon. In the final season, it will be what remains of the Starks, awaiting the arrival of Daenerys Targaryen.
Lighting the fires for the long night
The previous season showed White Walkers breaking down the wall, so understandably the final season will include the families of Westeros uniting to defeat the Night King. Peter Dinklage, who plays popular character Tyrion Lannister, said this battle would make 'Battle of Bastards' look like child's play. The showrunners Weiss and Benioff hinted that characters would put aside differences to fight the common threat.
The enemy of my enemy is my friend
The war against the White Walkers will bring disparate characters together putting aside their differences, and facing their pasts, thus defining their characters in the hour of need, according to co-executive producer Bryan Cogman. Thus, we will see characters with messy histories and those that have never met, interacting and fighting together. Can we have a scene where a reformed Jaime saves Bran?
A teary farewell for Jon Snow
Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, went to the official script reading without going through the copy sent to him and ended up crying twice. Kit might have cried at the death of Tyrion's character, which Dinklage has hinted at. The second time Kit cried was when he reached the script's end which read 'End of Game of Thrones'. Bring out the tissues!
