What's the story
The production team of Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's political thriller Game Changer is facing legal issues. A bunch of background actors have filed a police complaint alleging that they were not paid for their work in the movie.
Reportedly, around 350 extras are awaiting payment of ₹1,200 each as of February end. The complaint was lodged against the production unit managing payments for these artists.

Background actors demand intervention from the director and producer
The complaint was filed at a Guntur Police Station, with the artists accusing the Game Changer team of not keeping their payment promise.
As per News18, an artist named Tarun stated that 350 background actors from Guntur and Vijayawada went to Hyderabad for the movie following co-director Swargam Shiva's promise of ₹1,200 each.
They are urging director Shankar and producer Dil Raju to step in while also demanding action against Shiva.

'Game Changer' team yet to respond; film's controversies continue
So far, neither the filmmakers nor the film's representatives have released an official statement on the complaint.
This isn't the first controversy for Game Changer.
Earlier, director Shankar landed in legal trouble when his properties worth around ₹10.11 crore were attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under clauses within the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
Film's performance
'Game Changer' underperformed at the box office amid multiple controversies
Released earlier this year, Game Changer didn't do well at the box office and was mired in several controversies. These ranged from accusations regarding exaggerated box office figures to piracy leaks.
The Telugu language action drama starred Charan, Advani, Jayaram, SJ Suryah, and Anjali in pivotal roles. It was written and directed by Shankar and produced by Raju under the Sree Venkateshwara Creations banner.
