'Veermahadevi' first look: Sunny Leone impresses as a warrior queen
Sunny Leone will be making her acting debut in the South Indian film industry with 'Veermahadevi', the first look of which was released yesterday. The posters of the film have Sunny as a warrior queen ready to conquer the battlefield. It is a big-budgeted period drama which is being made in Tamil and Telugu.

Directed by VC Vadivudayan, the shooting of 'Veermahadevi' is currently underway. It is reportedly being made on a lavish budget of Rs. 100 crore. Producer Ponse Stephen is bankrolling the project. Besides Sunny, 'Veermahadevi' also stars Navdeep in a negative role. The film will also be released in Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
Sunny's films haven't performed well lately
Sunny started her Bollywood journey on a promising note with films such as 'Jism 2', 'Ragini MMS 2', but her career then took a nosedive. Her last few releases, 'Ek Paheli Leela', 'One Night Stand', 'Mastizaade', have not performed well at the box office.
Meanwhile, Disha Patani is also headed south with 'Sangamithra'
Meanwhile, Disha Patani is also all set to play a warrior in multilingual south Indian project 'Sangamithra'. To be directed by Sundar C, the film is being made on a budget of Rs. 150 crore. 'Sangamithra' will go on floors in July and will be released in Telugu and Hindi.
