RSVP's second film on armed forces, after the blockbuster 'Uri'
To recall, the Indian Air Force was the first of the country's defense forces to allow the induction of women into combat roles, in 2016. Kangana's movie reportedly draws inspiration from this landmark event. Further, Tejas will be RSVP Movies's second film to be based on the armed forces, after Vicky Kaushal-starrer blockbuster Uri: The Surgical Strike, which minted a whopping Rs. 245 crore.
Excited and honored to share this brave story: Screwvala
Talking about the film, producer Screwvala said in a statement, "We are excited and honored to share this brave story with viewers and hope it inspires many more women to join the Air Force."
Hope to instill a sense of patriotism and pride: Kangana
Meanwhile, Kangana said, "Very often the sacrifices made by our brave women in uniform go unnoticed by the nation. Tejas is a film where I have the honor of playing the role of one such Air Force pilot that puts country before self." "I hope we instill a sense of patriotism and pride in the youth of today with this film," she added.
